OUR STORY
Gown & Hound began with a simple observation.
Every Christmas, my family takes a photograph together in matching outfits. When our two French Bulldogs, Rolex and Chablis, became part of those traditions, I started searching for matching pieces that reflected how we lived as a family—something comfortable, well-made and timeless.
What I found instead was a market dominated by novelty. Matching hoodies, costumes and mass-produced products that felt far removed from the craftsmanship and considered design I admired in traditional British brands.
Around the same time, I had started learning how to make my own clothes. One Christmas, I created matching dressing gowns for us and our dogs. It was then that the idea for Gown & Hound was born.
Having moved to Britain several years ago, I developed a deep appreciation for British heritage, hospitality and design. Together with my Scottish husband, whose upbringing in Perthshire introduced me to country-house living, I became fascinated by the rituals that make a home feel special—slow mornings, thoughtful interiors, timeless craftsmanship and the companionship of dogs.
Those influences remain at the heart of the brand today.
Gown & Hound was created to bring together two worlds that rarely meet: beautifully crafted housewear and the people who consider their dogs part of the family.
Our dressing gowns are inspired by the elegance of British country houses, boutique hotels and traditional tailoring. Every detail, from the fabrics and trims to the brass hardware and presentation boxes, has been designed to feel enduring rather than seasonal.
For me, luxury has never been about logos or status. It is about craftsmanship, comfort and objects that quietly enrich everyday life.
Gown & Hound is built on that belief.
More than a clothing brand, it is a celebration of shared moments with our dogs. Whether that is a slow Sunday morning, a quiet evening at home, or simply sitting beside those you love most.
Including the four-legged members of the family.
